100% vegan ice creams and sorbets

Ice creams and sorbets are authentic treats that win over even the biggest sweet tooths in the summer months. But when you follow a vegan diet, it is more complicated to find ice cream makers offering traditional ice cream without using animal products: to solve this problem, nothing is better than making your own vegan ice creams and sorbets. You can be sure of the origin and provenance of your products, and you will know for certain that they contain no animal products. We have selected 2 delicious vegan ice creams and sorbets recipes for you to enjoy all summer long... and why not all winter too!

Ice creams and sorbets: A vegan red berry ice cream coated in chocolate

This recipe will appeal to the sweetest of you: it combines the tangy taste of red berries with the indulgence of chocolate. An ice cream full of flavor that will tickle your taste buds.

This recipe is simple and quick; it will only take 5 minutes to prepare: allow 5 hours of resting time for the ice cream to set properly.

For this recipe, you will need:

  • 300g of red berries (strawberries, raspberries, cherries, currants, etc..)
  • 100ml of coconut or almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • 200g of dark chocolate or vegan milk chocolate
  • 150ml of coconut oil
  • Tools: ice cream molds and blender

First, wash the red berries you selected beforehand, then blend them in a blender with the coconut milk. You can then add the maple syrup.

Once the mixture is smooth and even, you can pour the preparation into the ice cream molds and place them in the freezer for 4h. Once the ice creams are ready, you can move on to the chocolate coating.

To do this, melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a bowl: you can do it in a double boiler or in the microwave. Then let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Unmold your ice creams: to help you, you can run the mold under hot water for a few seconds. Once the ice creams are removed from the molds, dip them into the melted chocolate mixture. Let the excess chocolate drip off well and place the ice creams on a sheet of baking paper (the sheet should be placed on a tray that can go in the freezer). Put the tray in the freezer and let them rest for 1h.

Your ice creams are ready to enjoy!

Vegan watermelon sorbet

This simple, quick, and delicious preparation will remind you of summer with the season's must-have fruit: watermelon. For die-hard fans of this refreshing fruit, here is a recipe for vegan watermelon ice cream.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 350ml of watermelon juice/watermelon pieces
  • ½ lemon (zest only)
  • A few mint leaves
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of agave syrup/honey (optional)

Blend the watermelon pieces, straining the juice to remove the seeds.

Put the juice back into the mixer/blender, then add the lemon zest and mint leaves. You can also add the agave or honey. Blend everything.

Once the mixture is smooth and even, pour the preparation into the ice cream molds and leave it in the freezer so the ice creams can set properly. We recommend leaving your preparation overnight to get high-quality ice creams.
