Coffee cultivation in the most producing countries

Originally from Ethiopia, the coffee is now cultivated in many countries : prized for its many virtues (improving memory, concentration and morale) but also for its possible curative properties (reducing the risk of Alzheimer's and certain cancers), coffee has now become the second most traded commodity after oil. It is produced in many countries, but the most exported coffees today are those from Guatemala, Brazil and Colombia. Culture in Guatemala

The Guatemala's product is mainly Arabica grain, which is an extremely popular grain, since it now represents no less than 50% of imports from coffee green in France.

Culture in Brazil

It was in Rio de Janeiro that the first plantations were established in Brazil. Imported from Guyana, the plantations quickly took up residence in several Brazilian states, such as Minas Gerais, Bahia, Espirito Santo, São Paulo, Paraná and Rononia. Both Arabica and Robusta were grown there. The difference between Guatemalan and Brazilian cultivation lies in the preparation of the coffee : in Brazil it is prepared in various ways : we use the " dry ways ", " wet " And " semi-humid » for the separation of cherry pulp and grains. Colombian culture represents the largest production in Colombia : THE coffee is an integral part of Colombian culture.
