Les bienfaits de l’eau oxygénée

The benefits of oxygenated water

Many people know hydrogen peroxide as an ideal remedy for boo-boos because it doesn't sting. Others, however, use it to bleach their hair. Still others use hydrogen peroxide to dry out and treat pimples. So, while everyone has their own little remedies, what's the truth? What are the benefits of hydrogen peroxide? TdeM tells you everything.

Antiseptic and disinfectant benefits

Thanks to its powerful disinfectant properties, hydrogen peroxide has always been used to clean wounds. Because it doesn't sting, it's the remedy mothers use to treat little ones' boo-boos. Lightly dab the scratch or wound with a cotton ball. It may foam or turn white, but it will prevent tears.

Pimple Removal and Treatment

Because it has sterilizing and disinfecting properties, hydrogen peroxide is perfect for drying out and eliminating pimples. Thanks to its benefits, you can incorporate it into your beauty routine or even your men's beauty routine. Start by cleaning your face with soap and water before applying a cotton swab soaked in hydrogen peroxide to your pimple. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.

Bleaching of nails, hair or clothes

Among the benefits of hydrogen peroxide is its ability to whiten things. We're certainly familiar with the effects of bleach, but few people recognize the same effects of hydrogen peroxide. Indeed, it's possible to whiten your nails by soaking them in hot water before wiping them with a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide. As for clothes, simply soak them in a bowl of hot water to which you add 30 volumes of hydrogen peroxide.

Treat dirt and mold

Few people may know this, but hydrogen peroxide also has surprising benefits for the home. Indeed, if you have mold in the bathroom, simply spray your hydrogen peroxide, let it sit, and then remove it with a sponge. This will allow you to remove all mold from your walls or floors. The same goes for your PVC elements. For example, it is possible to remove yellowed PVC elements by spraying the product on them and rubbing them lightly.

Lighten your hair

Do you want to lighten your hair by adding a few light highlights sparingly? Simply soak a cotton pad in 20-volume hydrogen peroxide and leave it on your hair for 10 to 20 minutes. Be careful, the longer you leave it on, the lighter your hair will become.

Afterwards, you will need to wash your hair with shampoo. Since hydrogen peroxide is very drying, we recommend using a nourishing shampoo to restore shine to your hair.

While the benefits of hydrogen peroxide are significant, it should still be handled with care. It is essential to avoid prolonged applications and to rinse thoroughly.
