Le café : un excellent remède contre les maux

Coffee: an excellent remedy for evils

The coffee is a beverage consumed by many people: it has become a true ritual. Caffeine has recognized virtues, the most popular being that it gives the body a boost, especially in the morning. But did you know that beyond its stimulating effects, coffee contains many other unsuspected benefits? Indeed, coffee can be used in curative treatments, and also to treat illnesses such as depression. In this article, we will look at all the unsuspected virtues of this legendary beverage.

Coffee in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases

Studies have been conducted to demonstrate that coffee would reduce the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke: these studies are quite disparate and their results cannot be taken as conclusive statements, nevertheless, this study gives us food for thought. Indeed, we know that caffeine has the effect of increasing heart rate, which would contradict these recent studies on the reduction of cardiovascular diseases.

Coffee for excellent bowel transit

Another study: caffeine appears to be a stimulant for colon motility. This study seems to confirm beliefs around coffee : coffee is a true intestinal stimulant. But that's not all: caffeine also seems to promote the production of gastric juice, which is ideal for digestion. Gastric juice plays a major role in digestion as food leaves the stomach. Drinking a cup of coffee after a meal would therefore greatly aid digestion.

Coffee to improve brain capabilities

Incredible but true: studies have shown that regular consumption of coffee could be responsible for a considerable improvement in our brain's capabilities, such as improved reaction time and enhanced vigilance and attention. Some studies focusing on our brain go even further by claiming that caffeine would greatly contribute to the prevention of certain diseases like Alzheimer's and even Parkinson's, at a rate of 3 cups per day.

Coffee in the prevention of certain cancers

To date, thousands of studies have been conducted to study the impact of coffee on our health: among these studies, more than 500 have focused on coffee consumption and its potential usefulness in cancer prevention. Conclusion: coffee does not increase cancer risks, provided it is consumed on average 3 cups per day.

But most surprisingly, some reports seem to claim that coffee could indeed help prevent certain cancers, notably endometrial and liver cancer. The reason? Caffeine could stop the development of cancer cells at the source, which are responsible for the appearance of cancers.

What about tumors? In some women consuming coffee a recurrence of their breast cancer has been observed.

However, be cautious: studies conducted by scientists do not ensure a certain correlation between coffee consumption and the benefits it produces: they therefore remain hypotheses and should be taken with caution, not as reliable sources.

Coffee to reduce stress and depression

The coffee, despite being stimulating and energizing, would have soothing virtues: it would stimulate the production of well-being neurotransmitters, the famous serotonins and dopamines. Over time, these neurotransmitters can help delay the onset of low moods, or even depression. coffee, yes, but in moderation: too much caffeine can also cause anxiety, irritability and nervousness. The recommended average to avoid excessive caffeine consumption and to enjoy its benefits is a maximum of 3 cups per day.
